White wooden church with steeple - perspective view from right corner. Printed caption - Organized 1718 by Congregational Society, present church built in 1848. In 1774 gunpowder from raid on Fort William and Mary was hid under pulpit of meeting house, 4 months later transported by ox team to Boston used in Battle of Bunker Hill. Black and white photograph.
