• Hewetson looks at Christian identity and behaviour in the face of suffering. He looks at the change in society as we are pushed to the side, and how this is causing a crisis of identity. Hewetson explores Peter's use of the disporia language for the Gentile believers to show that the Gentiles are part of God's family. Hewetson stresses that we must keep our focus on heaven, and not be fooled into thinking that we will live forever on earth. He shows that the true place to meet God is in Jesus, and not a temple. He expands the temple language to include sacrifice, from that of animal sacrifice to become praise, financial, indeed anything we do for the Lord.
