• Reid expounds Mark 11:11. He explores the theme of judgement. He explains the emphasis on prayer, especially in relation to the temple. Reid looks at Jesus' actions in the temple - healing, teaching and judgement. He highlights Mark's selection of events in the temple to show Jesus' Lordship, and the significance of the temple courtyard. Reid looks at the three principles that Jesus gives for spiritual life - faith, expectancy and love. He argues that this is the parable of the fig tree - Jesus was looking for fruit in people's lives and didn't find it. Reid argues that these are signs that Jesus can act in judgement.
