  • Photograph of T. Bronson Ray. 1920. T. Bronson Ray was born on August 14, 1868, in Buckeye, Kentucky. In 1882 Ray converted and was baptized. He entered Georgetown College, Kentucky, in 1891. Two years later he was ordained and became pastor of Clear Creek Baptist Church in Kentucky. When Ray graduated from Georgetown College in 1895, he entered Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, from which he graduated in 1898. After graduation, Ray accepted the pastorate of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Nashville, Tennessee. He was very active in the Southern Baptist Convention and the Tennessee Baptist Convention. In 1906 Ray was elected as Educational Secretary of the Foreign Mission Board of Richmond, Virginia. He received a D.D. from Georgetown in1909. At the creation of the Judson Centennial Fund, Ray was entrusted to be the leader of the campaign. He died on January 15, 1934. JPG file (174 KB)
