  • Place of Prayer Entrance from which the stairway leads to the top of Prayer Mountain where the deceased General Overseer, A. J. Tomlinson knelt and prayed and "prevailed" on the morning of June 13, 1903. On Prayer Mountain lies an 80 foot altar at which all visitors are welcome to kneel for prayer. The view is in Cherokee County, near Murphy, North Carolina.
