This image is from Luther's publication of the Theologia Deutsch (German Theology), written many years earlier by an unknown disciple of the Medieval German mystic, Johannes Tauler (ca. 1300-1361). Luther says in his preface that he has learned more from it than from any other book, excepting the Bible and the works of St. Augustine. The woodcut shows the resurrected Christ—his tomb empty at the lower right—surrounded by cherubim, and at the lower left is a figure—perhaps Adam—being buried.
