George Scherrer lies decapitated on what appears to be a stage. He is bleeding profusely and his arms are crossed. The executioner, who stands to the right of him, appears to be pleased with his work and waves to the crowd of onlookers below him. Several buildings appear in the background of the image. Revised design of Luborsky and Ingram 11223/40, which appears in the second (1570), third (1576), and fourth (1583) early English editions. JPEG file (447 KB).
