  • Wilhelm Wuellner (1921-2004) was professor of New Testament at Pacific School of Religion from 1965 to 1993. He received a BD from Munster, Marburg Universities, and a PhD from the University of Chicago. He was ordained into the Lutheran ministry in 1958. He has been described as the father of rhetorical criticism of the New Testament and his work has focused on the relationship between hermeneutics and rhetorics. He wrote several books and numerous articles on the topic.
