Description
  • 1996 commencement sermon. O'Brien speaks on the theme of peace from Ephesians 2:11-22. Christian peace is Christ-focused, personal, and costly. This peace should be viewed as comprehensive and complete. Peace reconciles human relationships and our relationship with God. The work of reconciliation has been accomplished and can now be proclaimed to the world. Christ's peace is created and continuous. God's plan sees the creation of a new united humanity, with its effects ongoing. We are called by O'brien to be recognise this peace, to reflect it in our relationships, and to proclaim it to others.
