Bris (circumcision) of the son of Berel and Chanie Lazar, Pittsburgh. (Part 1) 2/21/1995 00:00:00 - Mrs. Derin, Chanie Lazar's mother, in the entrance of the Chabad school and synagogue in Pittsburgh. Introduces, Miss Fox, a teacher in the school. 00:01:58 - Chanie and other women arrive with the baby. She clips a portrait of the late Lubavitcher Rebbe to the bris pillow and adds a cloth they got from the Rebbe and a photo of him. The mohel (trained performer of circumcisions) prepares his instruments. Brief interview with him: explains significance of the ritual.
