Description
  • Based upon Titus 1:8, Hill preaches on the theme of self-control. Hill explores Greco-Roman philosophical perceptions of self-control and its ongoing influence today. For Christian leaders, self-control is expressed in power over oneself, whether it be over sexual desires (1 Corinthians 7) or everything in life (1 Corinthians 9) as one serves God. Paul sees it necessary for all Christians to subject every aspect of life to serve God. Galatians 5:2 reveals that the fruit of the Spirit, self-control, allows for this to occur.
