  • An American in love with Italy and Ancient Art, George B. Ward, on one of his trips to Europe, conceived a magnificent idea, and on his return built his home after the Ancient Temple of Vesta which was destroyed in Rome in the 5th Century. The present temple in reality is known as the Temple of Cere.
