  • A balding, bearded man burns at the stake. He faces toward the left of the image and clasps his hands in prayer. This woodcut appears nine times in the second edition (1570) to illustrate the burning of Tho. Rhedonensis (at Rome) (sig. Yy6r, p. 791); Richard Wyche priest (sig. DD1v, p. 830); John Stilman (sig. BBb4r, p. 941); Tho. Benet (sig. YYy5v, p. 1184); Kerby (sig. TTT5r, p. 1411); Walter Mill (sig. ZZZ2r, p. 1453); M. Farrar (at Carmarthen) (sig. XXXx1v, p. 1724); Diricke Carver (sig.
