  • This is a history of Scrubgrass Presbyterian Church that was revised for the centennial celebration of the church, which took place September 8-9, 1903. Additional items include a description of the custom of publishing the bans of matrimony, the temperance movement and moral societies, communion tokens, and an account of a missionary suffering martyrdom at the hands of pirates. The pamphlet ends with a list of church officers and a schedule of centennial services and events. There are numerous images including sketches of the earliest church buildings, photos of the latter two buildings, portraits of pastors and elders, and portraits of female missionaries who went to China and Mexico.
