This collection contains the personal papers of Unitarian Universalist minister, spiritual director, and ministerial mentor Rev. Dr. Laurel Hallman. She has served several congregations during her career including six years as Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington (Bloomington, Ind.) from 1981-1987 and 22 years as Senior Minister of the First Unitarian Church, Dallas (Dallas, Tex.) from 1987-2009. Rev. Dr. Hallman was the first woman to serve a large UU congregation as the Senior Minister. Materials include sermons and accompanying orders of service, audio recordings of sermons and speeches, workshop materials, records of denominational and organizational work for the Unitarian Universalist Association and Meadville Lombard Theological School, education and records of early ministry, and reference files by arranged by subject and chronologically. The collection is 27 linear feet, dating from approximately 1973-2014.
