  • The first meeting house built by Methodist in Missouri, 1819, and probably the oldest protestant church standing west of the Mississippi River. It has been preserved under an all metal canopy. It is located between Cape Girardeau and Jackson Mo. and reached by a very short drive from Jackson, the county seat of Cape Girardeau County.
