  • Completed in 1834, the Old Cathedral is only building remaining in Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, on the downtown St. Louis riverfront. A 1963 rehabilitation program returned church to close approximation of original appearance. Organ came from France early in 19th century. Canopeoum and tintinnabulun, symbols of Basilica are seen in background
