Terra-cotta oil lamp, 1st century C.E. Provenance: Syro-Palestinian. Reddish-brown clay, buff slip. Rim: pattern of vine with leaves. No ring on fill hole. Triple ring around rim. Spatulate nozzle. Two volutes projecting from reservoir. Fruit design on nozzle separated from wick hole by double line. Double ring base with top. Condition: fine. 8.9 length, 2.9 cm height. JPG file (119 KB).
